I take this opportunity to share some views and thoughts in the direction of overall development of Safai Karamcharis. We have witnessed a remarkable and tremendous all over development of India since independence but still a large section of people, particularly belonging to the Community of Safai Karamcharis are lagging behind in their development & progress in the society. Many social evils like undignified and inhuman treatment are still a part of their destiny.

This Commission is determined to take necessary measures for socio-economic upliftment of Safai Karamcharis pertaining to their basic needs in the sectors of education, health, better working conditions and habitant etc. are some of the areas of priorities of this Commission for which we have to make Safai Karamcharis aware of their rights and various welfare schemes started by the Government.

I urge the concerned Ministry/department of Govt. of India, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, NGOs, Safai Karamcharis Union/Association and Safai Karamcharis of Delhi for their cooperation with this Commission in achieving the goals and objectives for welfare and upliftment of Safai Karamcharis working in Government Sector/Autonomous Bodies/Private Sector of Delhi in future.
